DIANE GREENWOOD
RED LODGE, MT
In painting after painting, artist Diane Greenwood embraces the exhilaration of Montana. Born in the tiny town of Sidney, Diane grew up a true western farm kid, tending to the animals and thriving on the vast sky and flat fileds surrounding her. A move to Billings in 1980, however, led her to an enduring love with the contrast of mountains and moving water found in nearby Yellowstone Park. She confesses that she nearly caused an auto accident once, distracted by a sapphire alpine lake emerging from a bend in the highway. This wonder has never left her, and she continues to visit these favorite places, setting up her easel, waiting for new stories in the simple movements of the land and wildlife.
