MARY RINGER
Red Lodge, MT
Mary Ringer was born and raised in Minnesota, studying watercolor from David Swanson. She moved to Montana in 1991, taking plein air workshops from Ned Mueller, Scott Christensen and Linda Tippitts in oil painting.

Mary has received awards from the Carbon County Arts Guild, the Cody Country Art League, and Best of Show at the Art Center of Minnesota. She has worked with private collectors and corporations, has had several one woman shows, and taken part in many group shows.

Mary current lives in a cabin in the Custer National Forest. She paints once a week with fellow artists who provide valuable critiques and offer fresh ideas on technique, media and subject matter.

Artists Statement: Primarily, I am a landscape painter, painting plein air in the summer months. I aim to capture the beauty of the moment. It is always a thrill, a continual learning process and very challenging!
