BEAR BONES
by Lana Perrotti and Erika Tenjack, sponsored by
Bruce McCormack
The synergy of two minds and two talents gives us this paleontolgist's dream of an ancient grizzly, his bones merging with the earth to bring new life into the wilderness as illustrated by a plethora of plantlife growing between his bones and up through his structure.
Executed in acrylics and chalk, the bone structure provides a strong graphic composition, drawing the viewer into the spaces between the bones--an icy cold realm of pale blue contrasting in a startling way with the joyous proliferation of colorful mountain flowers.
